We got to walk around Prague quite a bit today and we were even able to squeeze in an afternoon nap!
We started the day at the Prague Castle, which is about 200 steps up (literal steps, like up stairs! #workout) from our apartment’s front door! Since we got there pretty early we were able to walk around the the castle grounds undisturbed for about about 2 hours! It was amazing! Inside the castle’s walls is the most beautiful and intricate cathedral I’ve ever seen; Katedrála Svatého Vita.
We walked around a bit more and then headed out!
Check out this Starbucks! The view and location are incredible! Right outside the castle walls! So silly!
Next we got a delicious breakfast at a cute little hotel and headed back to the apartment for a quick nap!
After our nap we headed back out to check out the city from a different viewpoint, Letná Park! So cool to see all of Prague’s bridges!
We then made our way down to the Jewish Quarter.
After that we headed back home, on the way we saw the Astronomical Clock go off, a little anticlimactic but, cool none-the-less.
Our last stop of the night was U Krále Brabanstského, a medieval Middle Ages pub. They have entertainment every Tuesday through Sunday. It’s definitely a tourist thing to do and they do have medieval shows back home in America but, they aren’t in an actual historical Middle Ages pub steps away from an actual historical castle. So there’s that! Erica and I had a blast with snakes, music, fire and dancing! We even got to talking to some of the waitstaff and entertainers and we learned a little bit of Czech! The best part was that we literally just had to walk across the street to get home!
“One of the great things about travel is that you find out how many good, kind people there are.”
